Phi Sigma Rho
Chi, UC San Diego
Phi Sigma Rho was founded in 1984 at Purdue University. Abby MacDonald and Rashmi Khanna, two engineering students, were too busy to participate in traditional sororities, and thus elected to start one of their own. The Alpha chapter was founded with ten sisters. Since then, the sorority has expanded to 22 chapters across the United States allowing women majoring in science and engineering a unique opportunity to participate in Greek life at their university.
The Chi chapter of Phi Sigma Rho is a learning and living experience. We prepare ourselves professionally for success in any workplace, socially for futures as outstanding members of our communities, and academically for careers in innovation and technology. Together we are better than we could ever be apart, and it's together we build the future!
