Panhellenic Executive Board

    The Panhellenic Executive Council consists of ten women from different backgrounds: fraternities, and sororities. The women of this council come together to form a cohesive unit, working as a non-biased board to oversee and assist all NPC and associate chapters in whatever they require.

    The Vice President of Administration is responsible for fulfilling the role of Panhellenic President, should the President be unable to attend a meeting or vacate her position. The Vice President of Administration serves as secretary at each session of the Presidents’ Council and each meeting of the Executive Board. She distributes and maintains copies of the minutes of each session of meeting to every member before the following session or meeting, maintains Panhellenic files, collects and distributes Chapter Rosters among Executive Board Members, makes reservations for facilities and equipment needed by the Executive Board or the Presidents’ Council, disseminates information to all member fraternities as ordered by the Executive Board, and updates the Executive Board on correspondence received and sent. The Vice President of Administration serves as a liaison between the Executive Board, the Panhellenic Judiciary Board, and the Panhellenic Area Advisor along with serving as the Chief Justice of the Judicial Board. The Vice President of Administration manages notification forms, infractions, and other judicial procedures. The Vice President of Administration coordinates administrative activities (ie. door codes, mailboxes and passwords), Panhellenic Composites, arrangements for petitioning and interviewing selection for the executive board, board of directors and any replacements should that come up, the training of newly selected staff and assist in transitioning of new executive board members should they be chosen mid term. Lastly, the Vice President of Administration organizes and plan all retreats included but not limited to exec board retreat and facilitates discussion as necessary to enhance the working environment of the Panhellenic Executive Board.

    The Vice President of Membership coordinates all system wide recruitment programs. She recommends programs to the Executive Board that may be beneficial to fraternity recruitment, makes herself available to aid member fraternities with their own recruitment programs, and meets at least once a quarter with all member fraternities’ recruitment chairs as a group to discuss policies of recruitment and make recommendations to the Presidents’ Council. With the Panhellenic Advisor, the Vice President of Membership coordinates any effort at fraternity expansion at the University of California at San Diego with the incoming group, coordinates and oversees Sigma Rho Chi Counselors, and organizes campaign to promote the Greek community before and throughout Fall Recruitment. The Vice President of Membership publishes marketing materials (such as flyers, print advertisements, pamphlets, and a Go Greek Brochure), plans Spring and Fall Info Nights, and ensures a Panhellenic presence at UCSD organization fairs such as Admit Day, transfer events and college fairs. Lastly, the Vice President of Membership ensures that girls are recruited to participate in Formal Recruitment in the fall.

    The AVP of Membership is responsible for fulfilling the position of the VP Membership at any event that she cannot attend.  She assists the VP of Membership in all duties, such as organizing and executing Formal Recruitment, ordering marketing materials for said recruitment, and conducting recruitment chair meetings, information nights, and other recruitment events.  Along with the VP of Membership, the AVP of Membership also coordinates and oversees the sorority recruitment counselors (Sigma Rho Chis). 

     



     

    Lennie Kang

    The Vice President of Finance is responsible for preparing a budget for the Executive Board and Panhellenic Association activities to submit to the Presidents’ Council.  She regulates the finances of the Panhellenic Association in strict line with the budget and maintains accurate records for all expenditures, cooperating with the Business office of Student Finance staff to maintain records and observe procedures as they require. The Vice President of Finance collects all payments owed to Panhellenic and notifies the President of Panhellenic when a member fraternity is in arrears; a 7 days notice will be given before payments are due unless it is out of Panhellenic's control. The Vice President of Finance pays all bills owed by Panhellenic, establishes and maintains a requisition and reimbursement procedure and authorizes Panhellenic purchases, reports two times each quarter on Panhellenic’s financial status to the Presidents’ Council, and makes necessary arrangement for the annual Western Regional Greek Leadership Conference (WRGLC). Lastly, the Vice President of Finance coordinates the request of all funding from AS on behalf of Panhellenic events and collaborates with the IFC counterpart to establish a division of costs in shared events.

    Vice President of Scholarship

    The Vice President of Scholarship promotes scholarship and academic achievement and recognizes Academic Achievements in the Panhellenic Community. The Vice President of Scholarship actively maintains, promotes, and verifies all Panhellenic member grades, collects and inputs Grade Release Forms, works with the Office of the Registrar to produce grade reports each quarter, and calculates and relays Quarterly and Annual Grade Reports. The Vice President of Scholarship plans and executes the annual Scholarship Banquet and all of the quarterly All-Greek study breaks. The Vice President of Scholarship serves as the Panhellenic Contact for Order of Omega and is Head of the Scholarship Committee consisting of Chapter Scholarship chairs. Lastly, the Vice President of Scholarship plans and executes Greek Awards and oversees the Greek Awards BOD(s).

     



     

    Rochelle Swartz

    The Vice President of Service is a Panhellenic coordinator for all-Greek community service events. She is responsible for educating member fraternities on community service opportunities and planning member service events once per quarter.  These include but are not limited to Risk Education and Community Involvement, which can be combined with other all-Greek events (i.e. Greek Week, Excel, New Member programming). The Vice President of Service also coordinates and executes the All-Greek Cook Off and Greek Week, as well as fundraising projects and sponsorship events. The Vice President of Service oversees the Greek Week BODs, coordinates and heads the Community Service Team with community service chairs of each chapter. Lastly, the Vice President of Service is responsible for updating the Executive Board and Presidents' Council on status of these projects as they arise.

    The Vice President of Development plans and executes the Excel Leadership Conference, all Panhellenic New Member programming, Risk Management related events, Inter-sorority Sports, all Panhellenic Sisterhood Events, and promotes them throughout the Panhellenic Community. The Vice President of Development oversees the Excel BOD(s), the New Member BOD(s), and ISS BOD(s). Lastly, the Vice President of Development manages and is the contact person for all Affiliate Organizations.

    The Vice President of External Relations is a liaison between the Panhellenic Association and the UCSD AS Council, Multicultural Greek Council, on-campus student organizations, and college councils. The Vice President of External Relations attends weekly AS meetings on Wednesdays as well as monthly Multicultural Greek Council General Body meetings on Mondays, works with her IFC counterpart to promote AS Elections as well as National elections on campus in conjunction with the AS, including the endorsement of Greek candidates by providing polling site on campus; as well as the endorsement of voting in elections by providing incentives and or situations for Greek students to do so. The Vice President of External Relations seeks opportunities for Greek Students to serve on AS committees such as At Large Greek Representative to Triton Tide, etc., along with forwarding and promoting these opportunities to the Greek Students appropriately. The Vice President of External Relations identifies and selects a student organization event once a quarter for the Greek Community to support. Events involve and include cultural, academic, athletics/social, and resident/commuter life. Support includes, but is not limited to assisting in publicity and ensuring Greek participation. The Vice President of External Relations is responsible for managing the Panhellenic Calendar and getting College Council and student organization events on the master Greek calendar, Greek web based calendars, and sending correspondence to chapters. The Vice President of External Relations manages the Panhellenic Website and ensures that it is updated regularly. Lastly, the Vice President of External Relations Organizes and executes Greek Athletic Initiatives. 

     



    Taylor Patton

    The Vice President of Communication is in charge of all Panhellenic non-recruitment related marketing and works mainly to maintain the Panhellenic and Greek Life websites and facebook groups. VP of Communication also works with the OneStop desk in Price Center to make room and event reservations for the Panhellenic Council Executive Board members. Additionally, the VP of Communication assists the VP of External Relations in managing the website.  She also oversees the Greek Columns BODs and works with an IFC counterpart to produce quarterly news articles and journalism pieces featuring different aspects of Greek Life at UCSD.
