    What is New Member Education?

     

         The New Member Education Program seeks to educate new members in the Greek Communty on service, leadership, risk management and much more that will help make their Greek Experience the greatest it can be! The new member program is comprised of Panhellenic, Intrafraternity and Multicultural Greek New Members. Chapters who reach high attendance levels will receive recognition at the 2009 Greek Awards Ceremony.

    Risk Management Program

    [Minimum 85% new member class & 25% of active members]
    Presentations by well known speakers.

    Community Service Projects – All Members Welcome

    [Minimum 85% of new member class, actives encouraged to participate]
    Various events offered to promote hands-on volunteering throughout the San Diego community

     

    Leadership – All Members Welcome

    [Minimum 85% of new member class, actives encouraged to participate]  

    Encouraging students to make use of leadership training offered here at UCSD
    Various dates of Passport to Leadership and Express to Success offered throughout quarter

     

     

    NOTE: Although required attendance does not exceed 85% of each new member class, we are encouraging chapters to strive for 100% of their new members to complete this program.
     

    A Greek award will be given to recognize the chapter with the highest percentage of members who complete this program.
